Rye Whiskey

Rye Whiskey as we know it today was born from the earliest distilling operations in Colonial America, settled by pioneers originating from European countries such as Germany.
Most of the farmer-distillers set up their still-houses in the new frontier primarily around Maryland and Pennsylvania, where grains such as rye grew wild and flourished. Since those days, master craftsmen handpick from the rarest lot of barrels only the finest selection of rye whiskey for its distinctive flavor and bouquet.
The Bitter Truth Rye was chosen according to such criteria, and is a Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey. Unfortunately, the 24 years the barrel has aged limits the quantity available to only a rare lot of bottles.
It is bottled at cask strength so that you may experience the raw elegance of this fine spirit, in moderation of course.
The Bitter Truth 24 Year Old Rye Whiskey is not chill-filtered and “Straight from the Barrel”, bottled at 69.2% ABV.
This rare bottling was distilled in the spring of 1984 in a distillery which no longer exists.
