The classic Orange Bitters

A traditional marmalade scent sets off act one of the Bitter Truth Orange Bitters on the nose. This is followed by a cacophony of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. On first taste, cardamom and caraway make an entrance and the finishing number is true orange peel oil. This ingredient supports the cast of a traditional martini but duets well with rums, whiskies and tequilas as well.

The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters are a combination of bitter orange peel and several herbs and spices that are macerated in alcohol. The first orange bitters were released in the 1880s, a time when many classic cocktails such as the Martinez and Manhattan were created. Today they are still essential for the preparation of a Classic Martini Cocktail. The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters can be combined with all kinds of spirits such as Whisk(e)y, Rum, Vodka and Gin.

Tasting Notes:

The fruity sweetness at the beginning is quickly followed by a very bitter taste. The aroma of bitter orange peel is in the foreground, completed by spicy flavors of cardamom, caraway and nutmeg.

Cual función de teatro, el aroma a mermelada tradicional de este bitter cierra el primer acto cuando roza nuestra nariz. Seguido luego por una disonante combinación de clavo de olor, canela y nuez moscada. En un primer sorbo, el cardamom y la alcaravea hacen su entrada y el acto final es verdadero aceite de corteza de naranja. Este ingrediente combina también con el Martini tradicional pero hace mejor dúo con rones, whiskys y tequilas.

Los bitters de Naranja son una combinación de corteza amarga de naranja y varias hierbas y especias que se maceran en alcohol. Los primeros bitters de naranja salieron en la década de 1880, una era en la que muchos cocteles clásicos fueron creados como el Martínez y el Manhattan. Aún hoy son esenciales para la preparación de un coctel Martini Clásico. Los bitters de Naranja de The Bitter Truth pueden combinarse con todos tipo de espirituosos como Whisky, Ron, Vodka y Ginebra.

Notas de sabor:
La afrutada dulzura al principio es seguida rápidamente por un sabor muy amargo. El aroma de corteza amarga de naranja está en primer plano, completado por los sabores picantes de cardamom, alcaravea y nuez moscada.

COCKTAIL RECOMMENDATIONS

Dry Martini Cocktail

50 ml (1 1/2 oz) Gin

10 ml (1/3 oz) Dry Vermouth

2 dashes The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters

Stir in mixing glass with ice & strain into a cocktail glass.

Rum & Cola

50 ml (2 oz) Rum or Whiskey

3 dashes The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters

fill up with Cola

Fill ingredients into long drink glass filled with ice.

Pegu Club Cocktail

50 ml (1 1/2 oz) Gin

20 ml (3/4 oz) Orange Curacao

10 ml (1/3 oz) fresh Lime Juice
